Preserved building in Piraeus
Revitalizing heritage, a neoclassical restoration
In collaborarion with Kostas Xristopoulos
LOCATION
Piraeus, Attica
YEAR
2003
The project focuses on restoring a historic Neoclassical building while preserving its iconic facade, ironwork balconies, and decorative interiors. The design adapts the space for contemporary use, creating flexible, functional areas while integrating modern materials and technologies for improved energy efficiency and sustainability. Public-facing spaces will activate the ground floor, enhancing the building’s vibrancy. The goal is to harmonize the building’s historical elements with modern needs, breathing new life into the structure and ensuring it remains a dynamic architectural landmark.
